sicily part 4 – il ballarò (from the inside)

and here it is, my first most favouritest photo series from february’s short vacation. it was one of the days we spent in the city of palermo and among other things we visited “il ballarò” – a traditional sicilian market which is still active. quite active, actually.

we also did other stuff in the city that day, but most of the pictures are from the market. there are a few more of the nightly bbq session we had that day.

i don’t feel like writing much right now, but in case you wonder why i consider this my favourite photo series from that trip:
a) all pictures taken with my 50 mm prime lens, with which it is hard to be wrong
b) i like the light and the colors in many of the photos (thanks to the market environment)
c) i like many of the subjects

to sum it up: it’s a very subjective judgement, feel free to disagree, i can stand it.
